Pickford’s was founded on the idea of providing the best quality products for the lowest possible price. I have learned much from listening to my customer’s wants and desires and finding products that fill those needs. Most of the beers and wines at Pickford’s are not found anywhere else in the surrounding area. The olive oils, most spices, and the produce are all local. I will strive to continue bringing in quality products.
The Pickfords Salmon Spread is made on site and is one of the stores most popular gourmet items. We bring in Alder Wood Smoked Salmon from Alaska which is then pulled apart by hand to release as much rich oil as possible. Then the salmon is added to Pickford’s secret recipe. The salmon spread is occasionally available to sample during wine tastings which you can keep up to date on by signing up for our mailing list.
Pickford’s brings in the finest oils, infused oils and infused vinegars from Valley Olive & Leaf Co., located in Dayton, Virginia. These gourmet additions work great as a dip for bread, a simple salad dressing or adding some flavor to the seafood or Wayside produce you picked up while in the store.In addition, the Pickford’s has the most unique spices found in Harrisonburg! This local product has a fantastic selection ranging from seafood spices to bread dips.
